Veterinary Care for Pot Bellied Pigs
Equiheart® would be happy to come to your farm and care for your pot-bellied pig!

Well Visit Routine
At your annual wellness visit we will trim hooves and administer vaccinations for Erysipelas and Rabies.

Deworming Recommendations
Your pig should be wormed twice a year using vomec 1% solution for swine. The oral dosage we recommend is 1cc per 50lbs.

Illness in Pot Bellied Pigs
One of the first signs of a sick pig is loss of appetite. Also, their hair may stand on end or they may have a hunched back. You know your pig – any change in behavior could be a sign that something is wrong.

Hoof/Nail Trimming

We are happy to offer hoof/nail trimming for your pot-bellied pig. To minimize stressing your pig, we will travel to your home and trim your pig's nails wherever they are most comfortable. Once the pigs realize that I am not hurting them, they will typically relax and sometimes even seem to nap. I perform this service without administering sedation or needing you to bring your pig to a stressful clinic.
